EX-2 Special contents

You can update your Xpansion of EX-2 to Ver2.0.

Ver2.0 software are installed.

Function are upgraded by equipping the same software as EX‐RR (Ver. 2.0 specification).
* Shipment after August 2018 will be provided at Ver. 2.0.
* Customers with existing models can upgrade to Ver. 2.0.

Calculator has rollout calculation.

FUNCTION>SYSTEM>CALC

This new function has been added to the calculator in the EX-2. Put TYRE DIAMETER in the calculator, ROLLOUT( Car movement distant per one motor rotation ) is automatically calculated. This is useful for changing gearing in a DD car.

New Push Control Function for Direct drive car.

THROTTLE>(PAGE2)>PUSH

A motor that has a strong magnetic force will add a braking effect when the throttle is released and will make a car stall in the corner. Setting the amount of forward input to remain on the throttle as the trigger returns to neutral can be adjusted. This is effective for F1, WorldGT and 1/12 category of cars whose gear ratio is small.

English⇔Japanese language change is possible in the menu.

You can change language in the display from Japanese and English. Selecting the display language that you prefer to use.

Incrased Model memory to 40.

Model Memory of EX-2 were 20 model momories.
In the Ver2.0 Software, Model memories icreased to 40. You can save many setting for your situation.

What is Expert Grip ?

This is same Unit as same as EX-1. Design and feeling is same as Basic Grip. And you can use Button and Dial on the Grip for your driving.

What is Drop Extension Unit ?

Steering position is changed for a different balance in drive feeling.

EX-2 Standard Edition

Light weight Body for Fastest lap in the Race.

We have developed the EX-2 from the technology of the EX-1. Drivers can use the best performance by using this product. The EX-2 uses the FHSS for the frequency operating system. This radio system is compatible with the EX-1, so you can use the same receivers as the EX-1. Also, the EX-2 is a K.I.Y. concept product meaning you can use the same optional parts as the EX-1.

Compatible for Kyosho New MHS Mini-Z.

EX-2 are use with Our FHSS radio. Also compatible for Kyosho New MHS Mini-z. You can use with Normal RC and Mini-Z.
Such a Radio is our EX-2 only.

We modified High level function to easy operation for EX-1. Ex:Throttle ABS and Acceleration mix to "CYCLE" function, curve and punch mix to "DYNAMICS"."Trim set" function can easy set for Trim and Travel.
Note: You must use LCD Xpansion Unit together with EX-2.

This is same function as EX-1 Trigger.

3D Trigger is the same as the EX-1. All drivers are able to adjust the position for their hand for more comfort.

Compact and Light weight Master Unit.

The Master Unit is lighter and the re-newed design achieves a new weight balance. The EX-2 is very compact and light weight making it very useful for your use. The new short antenna design reduces obstructions and performance offered is very linear and connected to the system.

Q. Can I change EX-2 master unit to EX-1 Master Unit?

A. Yes, You can use both master units.

Q. What is the weight of the EX-2?

A. This is 510g ( not included battery.)

Q. Can I use EX-2 with Kyosho ASF MiniZ?

A. EX-2 work with the Kyosho MHS Miniz. It does not work with ASF.

Q. What is different between the EX-2 Grip and EX-1 Grip?

A.EX-2 Grip does not include the ET4 and ET5 levers. You can use ET4 and ET5 levers when you use the EX-2 with EX-1 Grip.

Q. What is the differential performance of EX-1 and EX-2 ?

A. Response is same, but the EX-1 has many parameters in the setting menu. If you want more critical settings, you must use EX-1. Also EX-2 has all of the basic setting parameter.

Q. Can I use rechargeable Battery with EX-2?

A. You can use rechargeable battery, when you use the Battery stand with EX-2. 10546 Battery stand Unit 51201 BX-10L(charger for Life,Lipo)

Q. Will I have the same setting data when I remove the Xpansion unit from EX-2 after setting EX-2 with the Xpansion Unit?

A. Setting data is saved in Xpansion unit when you use EX-2 with Xpansion unit. So there different data that is saved to the Master Unit. But, the Radio mode(FHSS and MHS) are saved in Master unit. You must change the Radio mode when you change model memory in Xpansion menu.

Q. Can I use analog servos with EX-2?

A. Analog servo can not be use with EX-2.
